Types of outstanding orders

  • No payment yet — the order ID is not in any payment report.
  • Deferred — the payment exists but is held (transaction status deferred) until delivery or the return window ends.
  • Released, not transferred — the amount is released but the settlement has not reached your bank yet.
  • Refunded — paid, then taken back; outstanding only if the product did not come back.

How to reconcile payments to outstanding orders

  1. List every shipped order ID from the All Orders report.
  2. Group the Date Range payment report by order ID and sum the totals.
  3. Split each order's lines into released and deferred.
  4. Match settlements to bank transfers by settlement ID.
  5. Flag orders with no lines, orders deferred for more than three weeks, and orders with a negative total.
