How replacement orders work
The replacement is a new order with ₹0 value, linked to the original order in the Replacements report. The customer should return the original product. If the original was also refunded, both products should come back.
Which order to claim
| Situation | What to claim |
|---|---|
| Original paid, original not returned | The original order |
| Original refunded, original not returned | The original order |
| Original refunded, replacement not returned | The replacement order |
| Both came back | Nothing — the pair is settled |
The date that decides the claim window
For a replacement pair Amazon counts the waiting period from the latest of: the original order refund date, the replacement order refund date and the replacement shipped date. Counting from the original order date opens the window weeks too early and Amazon rejects the claim as filed before the eligible period. Charly's Recon uses the latest date automatically and shows which date it used for each claim.
Frequently asked questions
Why was my replacement claim rejected as too early?
The window was counted from an earlier date. Amazon uses the latest refund or replacement date in the pair.
Do I need the Replacements report?
